The chassis of the Ortur Obsidian is made entirely of metal and aluminium 2040 T-Slot profiles. The Obsidian offers a print volume of 250x250x300mm, with a particularly small footprint thanks in particular to an electronics fully embedded under the machine. The simple FFC cable layout alows for a clean look and avoid problems caused by messy wires.

Ortur Obsidian has a smart power control unit, with automatic shuts down for power saving after printing. Directly detect the drop in the input voltage of mains power, triggering a power outage state. This saves current G-Code state into memory allowing resume function once power returns to the controller.

The STM32 32-bit motherboard is the brains of the Ortur Obsidian. The full 32bit resolution allows for a quicker and more efficient process of the G-Code instructions as well as permitting the usage of 256 sub division micro stepping Stepper motor controller chips. This the noise output of the machine as well as increases the resolution of the 3D printing. The STM32 controller runs the latest version of Marlin_RTOS firmware, combined with the Freertos real-time operating system. This combination allows a full colour, Touch, LCD interface for control of the machine while the motion is ran in a independent process. This prevents mutual interference, making printing more reliable and flexib.e

With the high power 60W high-power heating element, that allows a nozzle temperature up to 260°C, and a 280W hotbed that can reach up to 110°C, the Ortur Obsidian can perfectly melt, extrude, and create the perfect adhesion on a various range of 3D printing filaments as TPU, ABS, PETG, etc.

The proximity sensor and a compleatly automated Mesh Bed Meveling function, alow the Ortur Obsidian to compensate for any heat deformation of the hotbed to warrant a perfect print every time. Aditionally, the Filament run-out sensor will automatically pause the print and warn for filament replacement.

The Ortur Obsidian can be fully assembled and be ready for the first print in 20 minutes
